Licensed Clinical Social Worker | English & Spanish | Ages 14+

Getting to Know Gabriela

I believe good therapy starts with getting to know the person sitting across from me.

I've been a clinical social worker for more than 18 years, and one thing I've learned is that two people can be going through something similar and need completely different kinds of support.

Your experiences, relationships, culture, and the way you've learned to navigate the world all matter. I want to understand those parts of your story, not just the reason you decided to come to therapy.

Much of my work has involved supporting people navigating addiction and substance use concerns. I also work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD-related difficulties, grief, trauma, and relationship challenges.

Some people come to therapy knowing exactly what they want to work on. Others have been feeling overwhelmed or disconnected for a while and aren't quite sure where to begin. Either way, we can start there.

Conoce a Gabriela

Algunas personas llegan a terapia sabiendo exactamente qué quieren trabajar.

What Working With Me Looks Like

My approach is collaborative, flexible, and centered around what you actually need.

I'm not interested in giving everyone the same advice or expecting you to follow a particular timeline. I want us to understand what's happening in your life, recognize patterns that may be contributing to your difficulties, and explore changes that make sense for you.

That might mean developing practical ways to manage stress, having honest conversations about relationships, understanding how past experiences are affecting you today, or working through something you've been carrying for a long time.

I also recognize that talking about personal experiences can feel complicated, especially when family expectations, cultural values, or language are part of the picture.

As a bilingual therapist, I offer sessions in both English and Spanish. I want you to be able to express yourself in the language that feels most comfortable.

Above all, I want therapy to be a place where you feel comfortable asking questions, being honest, and participating in decisions about your care.

We can figure out what comes next together.
