Getting to Know Donna

Sometimes the things that used to help us get through life stop working the way they once did.

Maybe you've been feeling stuck in the same patterns for years. Maybe you're going through a major change and questioning what comes next. Or perhaps things look relatively fine from the outside, but something in your life hasn't felt quite right for a while.

These are the kinds of experiences I often explore with clients.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, relationship difficulties, and significant life transitions. Some people come to therapy with a specific concern they want to address. Others are trying to better understand themselves, their relationships, or why certain experiences keep repeating.

I believe both are meaningful places to begin.

What Working With Me Looks Like

My style is collaborative, grounded, and thoughtfully direct.

I want therapy to feel supportive, but I also believe it should be a place where we can ask meaningful questions, look honestly at patterns, and explore possibilities you may not have considered before.

Depending on your needs, I draw from approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and somatic awareness.

Sometimes our work may focus on practical skills, like managing difficult emotions, setting boundaries, or responding differently to stress.

Other times, we may explore deeper questions about your values, relationships, identity, or sense of direction.

I don't believe these approaches have to be separate. Understanding yourself and making practical changes can be part of the same process.

My goal is to create a space where you can be honest about what's difficult, feel comfortable exploring different perspectives, and work toward changes that reflect what matters to you.

Outside the Therapy Room

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, cooking, and staying physically active.

Having space for those parts of my own life helps me stay grounded and present in the work I do with clients.
